The Hospital del Rey Auditorium at the University of Burgos recently hosted the Multiplier Event of the European project AHA4Autism, an initiative funded by the European Union that focuses on ageing and autism. The event brought together professionals, families, and stakeholders to share the project’s main outcomes and newly developed resources.

During the session, the project team presented the key findings and tools created throughout AHA4Autism, aimed at improving understanding of the experiences and needs of autistic people in midlife and older age. The results highlight the importance of tailored supports that enhance health, wellbeing, and quality of life during later adulthood.

The event gathered 100 participants onsite and more than 300 attendees online from Spain and several Latin American countries, demonstrating the growing international interest in ageing within the autism community.

The Multiplier Event reinforced the project’s commitment to advancing knowledge, promoting collaboration among organisations, and providing innovative resources that can guide professionals and families in supporting autistic adults throughout the ageing process.
